I'm Carol Melia.  I received a call from my friend of many years, Christopher McTavish.  Christopher mentioned the reunion.  I then received a second call from another friend of many years, Thea Saville.  Thea also mentioned the reunion.   We worked at the Hotel from approx. 1976-1980.  The majority of the people we knew worked in the various Dining Rooms.  My closest friends at the time were, Christopher, Thea and Katherine Strupp (Katherine and I were roommates for some time).

 

Hello out there in cyber land.  My name is Heidi Mayer and I worked in the Dining Rooms (Alberta, Alhambra and Rob Roy) as a waitress, wine steward and captain waitress as well as in the Rundle Lounge as a cocktail waitress.  I remember Carol Melia ( who posted in 1976 column), James Bannon and Therese Goran (sp?), Fuji (the Japanese Tour Guide and wine steward) Kathryn and David Strupp and of course the infamous Italian maitre d's (Tony Orru, Al Bianchi, Tony Ucheddo (sp?) and Robin Duhaine (Frenchie).  Yes, Ivor Petrach was the General Manager at that time.  I am just sorting out pics and will post within a week.  I would love to get in touch with Carol Melia.  Please feel free to forward her my contact information.   Until then....
